Welcome to my professional website! I am currently a doctoral candidate and George W. Woodruff Fellow in the Department of English at Emory University researching representations of race, disability and caregiving in Nineteenth- and Twentieth-century American and African-American literature. This site contains a wealth of materials about and by me, ranging from a brief autobiographical statement and an electronic CV (with hyperlinks) to a précis of my current dissertation research, copies of my comprehensive exam lists, and a list of and links to the websites for the courses I've taught at Emory.

Please feel free to explore the site at your leisure and don't hesitate to contact me at adam.p.newman@emory.edu if you have any questions or if you encounter any accessibility issues during your explorations.
